Hi, I’m Sarah, an artist based in Leeds and studio holder at Assembly House studios.

I mostly paint water, nature and people, including a lot of self-portraiture. What I keep coming back to at the moment is what’s going on above and below the surface: the light dancing on top of a river, and whatever’s moving underneath it. Whilst I’m currently preoccupied with watery depths and reflections, the same underlying curiosity exists when it comes to people, and myself.

I also draw, make films, and have started working with sound and projection.

On this site you’ll find a portfolio of my recent paintings and videos, a studio blog that dives into some of my process, and a shop where you can buy giclée prints and small originals direct from me, the artist.

Right now I’m making new work for a group show in November, and a solo show in April 2027. If you’d like to see the work unfold and keep tabs on my studio work or any upcoming events, sign up for my monthly newsletter.

If any of my larger works are of interest, or you want to work with me, you can contact me on socials, or by email.
